Raw Cacao Buckwheat Bliss Balls

A modification of my other buckwheat bliss balls, these gooey and crunchy chocolatey bites are perfect for snacks on the go. They're easy to make, travel well and can be stored in the fridge or freezer. Experiment by rolling them in your favourite nuts, seeds and dried berries, I especially love goji berries, cacao nibs and desiccated coconut

Makes 10 balls

You will need:

1/2 cup (100g) Raw buckwheat
1 cup (145g) Raw almonds
1/3 cup (60g) Fresh dates
1/4 cup raw cacao powder
Optional maca/mesquite powder 
1-2 tbsps of water, if necessary

1-2 tbsps of your favourite superfoods to roll in

Combine all of the ingredients in a food processor until it makes a moist and thick dough, adding a little water if necessary. Split the mixture evenly into 10 balls, then roll in your favourite superfoods and enjoy!
