Cacao, Fig and Walnut Balls

The title says it all. These energy balls are filled with protein, healthy fats and superfoods and are perfect as a snack on the go. The combination of rich cacao and walnuts with the sweet gooey and slightly crunchy dried figs means that these are not only delicious but also incredibly good for you too.

You will need:

1 cup (120g) walnuts
1 cup (220g) dried figs
1/4 cup (20g) raw cacao powder
1/4 cup (25g) peanut flour or other protein powder
2 tbsps  (20g) chia seeds
1/4 cup oats

Combine all of the above in a food processor, adding 1-2 tbsps of water if necessary. Transfer to a bowl and place in the fridge for 1-2 hours or until firm, then split into 12 even balls. These store in the fridge for up to 2 weeks or can be frozen too.

  3. Hi Siobhan! :D is it possible to sub the raw cacao powder to something else?

    1. Cocoa powder will work too, but it won't have any of the same health benefits of raw cacao, so I recommend trying it!
