Raw Vegan Black Forest Mousses

I've been meaning to make these for quite a while, and when I saw a very over ripe avocado sitting in the fruit bowl, I just knew what to do. These desserts are decadent and rich, and even better, completely raw and ridiculously healthy. They're also easy to make, with just a handful of ingredients necessary. 

You will need:

1 very ripe avocado
1 very ripe banana
1/4 cup fresh dates
2-3 tbsps raw cacao powder
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/3 cup fresh or frozen cherries 

Cacao nibs or slivered almonds to serve

Combine the banana and dates in a food processor until it makes a smooth paste, and then add your cacao. Next, add the avocado and vanilla extract, and continue to process, stopping often to scrape down the sides of the bowl. Fold the cherries into the mixture by hand and transfer into 2 small ramekins and refrigerate for 2-3 hours. Serve decorated with cacao nibs and slivered almonds and enjoy a little dish of raw, vegan and plant based heaven for dessert

    1. It actually says in the recipe to fill 2 small ramekins, so it makes two :)
